Utah's Annual ICWA Conference will be held on December 1-2, 2022.

9:00am-9:05 am: Housekeeping and Good morning by ICWA Committee member
 
9:05-9:30 am: Host Tribe Welcome by Brad Perry of Northwest Band of the Shoshone Nation
 
9:30-10:30 am: Panel--The Role of the Judiciary in Upholding ICWA
 
10:30-11:30 am: Panel--Protecting Utah’s Children: The Need for a State ICWA
                               Panelists: Lance Sorensen, Paul Tsosie, Chairman Rupert Steele
 
11:30-11:50 am: Break
 
12:00-1:00 pm Keynote Address
by award winning advocate, writer, host of the chart-topping podcast This Land, and citizen of Cherokee Nation Rebecca Nagle

Directions for Friday Event:
Event will take place at the S.J. Quinney School of Law at the University of Utah at 383 South University St E, Salt Lake City, UT 84112 in the Moot Court Room on the 6th Floor.

Parking will be available in the lot south of the law school, located between Rice Eccles Stadium and the Trax station as visible in the map below.
